Fundraising Appeal for Jesse

Little 3 year old Jesse has an inoperable Ganglioglioma brainstem tumour.  This tumour is so rare it occurs in less than 1% of all brain tumours world-wide.  Unfortunately surgery has been ruled out as there is a very high risk of disability or fataltity.  Overseas studies have shown that Chemotherapy and Radiation have had no benefit on this type of tumour so Jesse's physicians have adopted a "wait & watch" approach.
Due to the limitations in New Zealand, Jesse's family and friends are fundraising for potentially "lifesaving" treatment in the United States.

The Burzynski Clinic in Texas, USA are showing great success with their non-toxic gene targeted "Antineoplaston Therapy" and they have recently completed Stage 2 of FDA approved clincial trials.  The cost of the treatment is very expensive and is not subsidised or funded by the NZ Government or covered by Insurance.  The estimated cost for the first year is $150K USD and the clinic have advised Jesse will need at least 2 years of treatment.

Jesse's family have done an immense amount of research on treatments available world-wide and feel the Burzynski Clinic's "Antineoplaston Therapy" offers the best chance at a cure for Jesse.

Jesse is a great candidate for this therapy, they are seeing the best results with patients who have not had any chemotherapy or radiation and also with children with brain tumours under 4 years of age.

To start Jesse on his potentially lifesaving treatment we need to raise the first $100K to enable him to start treatment at the Burzynski Clinic.

We need help in any way shape or form.  Be it time, ideas or money. Please help us to save our little boy's life.  He truly is the most amazing strong little boy who deserves a chance to grow up.
